Abstract: The reason for the need of knowledge management (KM) is that data and information are not knowledge until we know how to dig the value out of it. This study is concerned with the practices of knowledge creation, knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition practices in enhancing the quality of banking operations through the integration of these elements. In this paper, we discuss, through a suggested model, the extent of practicing KM by the management in Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) to achieve success in its banking operations. The paper may contribute to promoting and flourishing the application of KM concept in the banking industry in the UAE.
