Abstract: Low-cycle plastic stress-strain response and fatigue life under random loadings are investigated. By means of the Monte-Carlo method, we simulate numerically the plastic strain amplitudes with a given density of probability. The numerical simulations of stress-strain amplitude curves are found to be in agreement with experimental results, but this did not apply to the fatigue life.
