Title: Real-time exchange of CAD models based on neutral modelling commands

Abstract: This paper presents an approach to real-time exchanging of parametric feature models and assembly models among heterogeneous CAD systems. In the approach, we directly exchange every feature operation or assembly operation rather than the models based on an instantaneous translation mechanism between system modelling operations (SMOs) and neutral modelling commands (NMCs). To effectively support the translation between SMOs and NMCs, an object-oriented representation of NMCs is given.
