Abstract: Case-based reasoning (CBR) is an AI-based technology that offers a novel problem-solving approach that relies on past situations. The basic cycle of CBR System is |input a problem, find a relevant old situation, adapt it.| It is a rich and knowledge-intensive method that captures past experiences, enhances existing problem-solving methods, and improves the overall learning capabilities. It is also a paradigm that addresses issues of memory, learning, planning and problem-solving. It is therefore both a problem solving approach and a cognitive model of the way in which people learn and remember.

Keywords: case-base management; case-based reasoning; CBR; data management; object-oriented DBMS; database management systems; OODBMS.
