Abstract: Materials handling processes are the focus of re-evaluation as western management looks for more efficient ways of production. Westerners have focused on the Japanese philosophies of production and how they can relate them to the way they manufacture products. The philosophy that will be discussed is Just-In-Time manufacturing (JIT).
