Abstract: Faced with the need to deliver technology education to novice learners through distance delivery, a model was created that facilitated this pedagogical task. An instructional multimedia product development cycle consists of complex interdependent processes. This Iterative Development Model (IDM) simplifies the process by identifying three key ||Arenas||, with each of these ||Arenas|| containing two ||Phases||, and with each ||Phase|| containing two ||Operations||. Furthermore, by raising the ||Fidelity|| level of the instructional product with each subsequent iteration, it is possible to start the process at any point, and finish the process when adequate levels of ||Fidelity|| are reached. The IDM has been shown to provide clearer pedagogy during instruction of the process, plus more efficient management of the process itself.
