Abstract: On what does the steady development of the economics of the North-Western region depend? Ecological and social aspects are always interconnected. The North Dvina river system assures all freight turnover. Local Palaeolithic digs are of great importance for comprehension of the late Perm epoch. The North-Western region is one of the largest urban territories in Russia. What stabilises its energy market and what does not?
