Abstract: The paper attempts to examine whether there are significant differences in housing characteristics (types of structure, community, and land tenure) on neighbourhood stability of homeownership when controlling for household characteristics. It is reasonable to believe that the housing characteristics play a role in the effect of homeownership on neighbourhood stability. The government and housing developers need to consider the effects of housing characteristics when designing policies and housing products that affect homeownership in the country.
