Abstract: The paper describes adjustments within the Madrid aeronautics cluster, which are driven by changes in the sourcing strategy of Airbus. Knowledge capabilities gain importance for the relations and importance of single organisations. Based on a detailed analysis of single organisations in the cluster, implications for the network structures and innovation processes are discussed.
