Abstract: Among the competing nature of the companies, Supply Chain Management (SCM) is considered as the effective tool in the process for designing, developing, optimising and managing the internal and external components of the supply system. We have entered into a new era in understanding the dynamics of competitive advantage and the role played by Third Party Reverse Logistics Provider (3PRLP) in reverse logistics. In this paper, an integration of an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Linear programming is proposed to consider both tangible and intangible factors in choosing the best 3PRLP|s and placing the optimum quantities among them.

Keywords: SCM; supply chain management; reverse logistics; 3PRL; 3PL; third party reverse logistics providers; AHP; analytical hierarchy process; linear programming; logistics provider selection.
