Abstract: Volatile business requirements and heterogeneous resources require virtual enterprise applications more adaptable. To enhance the application adaptability, we proposed a flexible architecture-based application design approach. With dynamic service composition architectures, the proposed approach facilitates construction and adaptation of service-oriented applications. The case study indicated that the approach improved the adaptability of service-oriented virtual enterprise applications.
