Abstract: Coated abrasives are extensively used for manual operations such us cleaning, deburring, polishing, etc. The behaviour of output process parameters shall be well understood for the applications of coated abrasives in manufacturing of components for original equipments. Moreover, the rate of material removal is high in the case of grinding compare to deburring and polishing which necessitates the analysis of coated abrasives characteristics to withstand high forces. So, effect on output process parameters by varying the coated abrasives with different bonding types shall be investigated. It is necessary to investigate the bonding type behaviour along with varying the other input process parameters to find the depth of influence compared to other input process parameters. In this research the experimental work carried out by using the Taguchi|s orthogonal array and the results were analysed using analysis of variance. The results were further analysed by Taguchi|s signal to noise ratio for finding the optimum process parameters.
