Abstract: In this work, the authors propose a comprehensive mathematical model for PWM DC-DC converters with unipolar switching scheme (including all classes: A, B, C, D and four-quadrant E) and closed-loop PWM DC-DC converter driven DC S.E. motor for transportation drives. The model is useful for electric drives designers for the investigation of both normal and abnormal modes of operation of the drive.
