Abstract: Nowadays, in the enlarged European Union, a considerable debate on the phenomena of legal and illegal migration as well as integration between citizens of the third countries is taking place. The majority of the Member States experience the phenomenon of migration and face challenges connected with integration. Some of these countries, together with new Member States (hence Poland as well), are just beginning to face immigration. On the contrary, the problem of emigration is common in these countries. The paper aims at diagnosing the scale of migration and the most important problems that this phenomenon poses to Poland.
