Abstract: While the internet has become part of the nation|s critical infrastructure, its popularity has created a stir in the mental health community as clinicians are blaming the internet for causing depression and loneliness. The aim of this essay is to investigate the researches dealing with the linkage and assess whether the link between depression and internet use is a myth or a reality.
