Abstract: In this paper, a quite novel decision-support system for the selection and acquisition of environmental technology is being applied. Generally, the evaluation and selection of technology project proposals is a complex process, consisting of many interrelated decisions. The framework used here is a scoring model, suitable for uncomplicated cases. It considers the technical and commercial aspects for each alternative resulting into a single |score|. Its main advantage is that it is easy to understand and to use, while it is not very time and effort consuming. Together with the decision-support system, an example of a relevant project is also presented.
