Title: Investigating the impact of AI and big data capabilities on supply chain performance: the mediating role of agility and resilience

Abstract: This study investigates the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data capabilities on supply chain performance through the mediating roles of supply chain agility and resilience. Based on the dynamic capabilities view, it explains how digital technologies generate value by enabling organisations to adapt to and manage disruptions effectively. A cross-sectional survey of employees from logistics service providers in Indonesia was conducted, and 286 responses were obtained for analysis. Data were analysed through partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings demonstrate that AI and big data capabilities amplify supply chain agility, thereby reinforcing resilience and improving supply chain performance. Agility and resilience drive sustained performance under disruption. This study advances theory on dynamic capabilities in supply chain management from an empirical context of an emerging economy and provides managerial implications for logistics managers and policymakers to foster resilient, data-driven supply chains.
