Abstract: The ultra fine-grained composite diamond coatings on the interior hole surface of co-cemented carbide drawing die were fabricated with a mixture of acetone and H2 as the reactive gas by the bias-enhanced Hot Filament Chemical Vapour Depositions (HFCVD). The quality was characterised by different techniques. The research results showed that the composite diamond coatings not only have the characteristics of high adhesion strength, high hardness and wear resistance but also have the advantages of low surface roughness and low friction coefficient. It is of great significance for the wide application of diamond coatings on the interior hole surface of drawing dies.
