Abstract: Cross-flow geometry is commonly used in industrial heat exchangers due to high energy transfer efficiency. Vortex formation downstream of a tube becomes a challenge for heat transfer and energy loss perspective. In the present study, the experimental data have been collected on novel splitter plates with multiple perforations having the splitter plate length ratio (RL) of 0.5 to 1.5, perforation ratio (RP) of 0.1 to 0.3. The splitter plates are attached downstream of tubes with the objective to improve the useful energy transfer in the cross-flow heat exchangers. The entropy generation analysis has been carried out for the tubes in cross-flow with and without perforated splitter plates in the Reynolds number (Re) range of 9,600-41,600. The minimum values of the entropy generation (Sgen) and the entropy generation number (Ns) correspond to the tube with the perforated splitter plates having splitter plate length ratio (RL) of 0.5 and
