Abstract: The purpose of privacy preservation is to enable the security and confidentiality of sensitive and personal information before transferring it to the cloud. In this research article, the survey of the privacy preservation models is done based on the various techniques employed for ensuring security. This review provides the background of privacy preservation models and an overview of each technique as well as other detailed components of securing data. Then a brief review of several articles that related to privacy-preservation for ensuring data security and secure data sharing is initiated. Moreover, the categorisation of several models intimates the significance along with the limitations is briefly analysed and avail further developments in real-time application.
