Abstract: HR analytics (HRA) involves collecting and analysing HR data to enhance organisational decision-making. Recently, HRA has gained significant popularity among practitioners and consultants and is frequently discussed at conferences, in magazine articles, and on social media platforms. However, academic scrutiny of HRA remains limited. This comprehensive study uses data from HR professionals to provide an updated picture of the current state of HRA and the primary challenges faced in its implementation within a Norwegian context. We discuss effective strategies for overcoming these challenges and identify key criteria for successfully implementing HRA in various organisational settings and industries. Additionally, the study explores the potential future trends in HRA and its implications for HR management practices.
