Abstract: The study aims to understand the current process of exit interviews carried out by the organisation and identify any deficiencies in the process. The study also aims at identifying more effective ways to conduct exit interviews for their proper impact and utility. The systematic review of literature highlighted how to make exit interviews more effective. Further, the efficiency of the process can be improved with the help of multiple tools/techniques. Since the scope of the study is limited to the state of Maharashtra. The findings of the study apply only to that area. The framework of the review of literature and results provide insights into the professionals about flaws in the existing exit interview process and ways to make it practical for its successful implementation in the current business context and provide insights into current trends and future research directions.
