Abstract: This study aims for a bibliometric analysis of a collection of literature on the 'quality of urban life' from the Web of Science and Scopus datasets. We used a final dataset of 609 documents on the 'quality of urban life' after analysis and compilation. This study uses the statistical software 'R' for data processing and analysis and VOSviewer for visualisation. The outcomes reflect data concerning keen authors, the most impactful citation-based articles, the most prolific countries, and other factors. According to the lexical network analysis, the quality of urban life has a substantial co-occurrence link with the three commonly occurring terms 'sustainable development', 'urban planning', and 'sustainability'. The countries that publish the most articles are the United States, China, Italy, Germany, Turkey, and the UK. Journals like Social Indicators Research, Sustainability and Cities are the most prominent for research on the quality of urban life.

Keywords: bibliometric analysis; quality of urban life; urban area; urban development; urban planning.
