Abstract: This paper discusses the challenges in implementing an interorganisational information system especially in the context of several stakeholders representing different organisations that participate in the development project. When information is transferred between organisations, its quality should be carefully considered. In case of a joint database the role of pruning is emphasised. Our information system project did not follow any strict development theory. Despite that, the output was perceived excellent by the users. Instead of technical approach, we concentrate on the quality of the information that is to be transferred between information systems.

Keywords: interorganisational information; information systems; information quality; information transmission; trust; control; participation; joint database; pruning.
