Abstract: Nowadays, environmental, social and governance (ESG) has been an important factor in increasing innovation in businesses for many years but has not yet been widely recognised in healthcare organisations. This study aims to investigate the relationship between environmental innovation and each component of the ESG score on the innovation of healthcare companies. The sample of the study consists of 100 companies with healthcare facilities, biotechnology and research, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment located in European countries with high GDP, and was analysed for the period 2002-2021. The results have shown that environmental innovation score grade (EISG) has a positive and significant impact on the company's ESG performances. The effect of EISG on individual dimensions of ESG is also tested, and it is found that EISG has a positive and significant impact on environmental (ENV) and social (SOC) performance. However, it did not show a significant impact on governance (GOV) performance.
