Abstract: This paper provides a comprehensive approach for understanding and addressing the benefits of supplier development activities (BSDAs), contributing valuable insights about supplier development (SD). A hybrid three-stage framework is suggested which involves fuzzy Delphi (FD), interpretive structural modelling (ISM), and fuzzy matrice d'impacts croises multiplication appliquee a un classement (MICMAC) for analysing BSDAs. This research identifies 34 BSDAs through literature search and expert opinions. FD is used to finalise 15 BSDAs. ISM is employed to identify the BSDAs interrelationships, whereas fuzzy MICMAC determines the power of each BSDA, i.e., driving power and dependence power. In total 15 BSDAs are finalised out of 34 identified BSDAs for this study through FD method. The outcome of this paper is beneficial useful for purchase managers or decision makers to trade-off between the BSDAs and the initialisation of SD in their organisation.
