Abstract: The study aims to review available literature on agritourism that has been published in the last decade with focus on sub-themes of profitability of agritourism business, stakeholder approach for the development of agritourism and tourist experience in agritourism. A systematic review and bibliometric analysis were conducted using literature of 402 published articles, using Scopus database. The idea was utilised by conducting co-authorship analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis and bibliographic coupling of documents, sources, countries and authors. It highlights viable avenues for future research for academics and provides a profitable plan at various levels for agribusiness stakeholders. Cluster analysis helped authors find novel and emerging research focusing on sustainability, sustainable development, and rural development. Further, content analysis prior to bibliometric analysis in future can be exploited to find newer niche areas of agritourism research. Farmers, producers and other stakeholders could realise the potential of rural destinations' competitiveness and development holistically and dynamically.

Keywords: agritourism experience; environmental sustainability; sustainable development; rural innovation; rural transformation; agricultural entrepreneurship.
