Abstract: Since the new century, electrical products have become increasingly compact and unique, and their performance has been continuously improved with the development of the electrical and electronic industry. Capacitors are one of the three major passive electronic components (resistors, capacitors and inductors). This component is critical in the electronic component industry and serves as the primary electronic component in a circuit. Moreover, this component is the most common and versatile amongst the electronic components used in meters. This study introduces the GABP neural network algorithm, provides a detailed explanation of the genetic algorithm and presents the specific operational flow chart of the algorithm. This algorithm utilises seven sets of aluminium crystal samples to make predictions on the trained network, yielding prediction error rates of 1.7%, 1.629%, 1.812%, 2.733%, 2.2%, 2.367% and 1.829%.
