Abstract: The paper describes the concept of designing a small spacecraft for technological purposes, taking into account the requirements for micro-accelerations. It is shown that these requirements significantly affect the design appearance and mass-centring characteristics of a small spacecraft. Questions about the development of a design concept that takes into account the main features of small spacecraft in comparison with other space technology used to implement gravitational-sensitive processes are considered. A feature of the stated concept is that the requirements for micro-accelerations are priority ones, since only their unconditional fulfilment will make it possible to successfully implement gravitational-sensitive technological processes. The obtained results can be used in the design of small technological spacecraft.

Keywords: small spacecraft; design concept; micro-acceleration; gravitational-sensitive processes.
