Abstract: Many countries have adopted entrepreneurship education (EE) to promote innovation led growth. While preceding studies have investigated factors supporting achievement with EE course outcomes, they have generally surveyed students in specialist entrepreneurship majors thereby potentially incorporating 'self-selection bias'. The present study is novel in two aspects. First, it surveys students and instructors involved in a core generic EE course taken by all undergraduate students across academic disciplines at a university in an emerging economy. Second, the study identifies several factors that support a good learning experience for EE students, which in turn lead to several positive course outcomes. Using a qualitative research design and analysis, the study proposes a schematical map of the different factors enabling positive student experiences for effective online EE, and it identifies four broad outcomes of EE: 1) entrepreneurial inspiration; 2) intentions; 3) knowledge, skills, and competencies; 4) self-efficacy.
Keywords: entrepreneurship education; EE; entrepreneurial mindset; entrepreneurial inspiration; entrepreneurial skills; entrepreneurial self-efficacy; entrepreneurial intention; entrepreneurship effectiveness.
