Abstract: This study aims to foster innovation in e-learning by applying rigorous software engineering principles. It focuses on practical pedagogical approaches and constructing a deductive e-learning environment. By integrating innovative instructional design practices, the study aims to facilitate development management and adopt an improved methodology adaptable to projects of all sizes. Using unified modelling language has allowed to visualise system architecture and inform instructional choices. Through four practical case studies, the research aims to demonstrate the capabilities of a deductive e-learning system, instilling confidence and spreading awareness of how structured software engineering can build robust online learning solutions.
Keywords: software engineering approach; pedagogical design; conceptualisation scenario; online learning situation; deductive approach.
