Abstract: A thorough comparison of many software tools in the field of preventative testing - a critical component in guaranteeing software quality and dependability - is presented in this research. Code review tools, desktop and mobile automation tools, mobile testing cloud platforms, dynamic and static code analysis tools, web automation frameworks, and unit testing tools are the categories included in the research conducted. In total, 37 different tools against 129 parameters have been included in the experiment and a thorough comparison is presented. The purpose of this research, which is being carried out with software industry partnership, is to shed light on the efficacy, efficiency, and practicality of these software tools. The study uses a strict approach that combines theoretical analysis with practical assessments. By examining the strengths and weaknesses of each tool category, the research offers valuable insights for practitioners and researchers in the field of preventative testing. The findings of this study are expected to guide software development teams in selecting appropriate tools and techniques to enhance the quality and security of their software products.
