Abstract: Knowledge management has become an important area of focus for businesses due to its importance for efficiency and productivity. Considerable research has focused on the contributions that workplace spirituality has on knowledge sharing; far less research has examined whether spirituality can mitigate or lessen knowledge hiding behaviour. This article determines the interaction between workplace spirituality and knowledge hiding behaviour among bank workers in Jordan. The bank employees were sampled randomly (n = 156), and the collected data is analysed using the PLS-SEM technique. The findings suggest that workplace spirituality may play a greater role in diminishing knowledge hiding behaviour. In particular, workplace spirituality diminished evasive and playing dumb knowledge hiding behaviour, but not rationalised knowledge hiding. This article concludes with discussions on the theoretical and practical implications of the findings as well as directions for future research.

Keywords: knowledge hiding behaviour; workplace spirituality; personality traits.
