Abstract: The increasing access to technology has made the number of mobile internet users shoot up exponentially. Today, there is an app for everything. While these apps have been useful to the majority of their users, they are not all inclusive of the elderly or people with disabilities. This is a major concern with respect to e-wallet applications due to their rising demand as the most popular mode of payment. This is the problem addressed in this research study. An online survey and a multi-case study have been conducted to investigate how e-wallet apps are being used on a daily basis. A product requirement analysis has been conducted to understand important features for the elderly demographic of users. Using this data, design recommendations and guidelines have been provided through a prototype design. It is concluded comprehensively on the changes that future application designers need to focus on incorporating all the basic and the user-friendly payment features.
