Abstract: How to improve the efficiency and quality of engineering maintenance and reduce the maintenance cost is the focus of modern engineering maintenance. In this paper, the electronic technology based on edge computing is selected to optimise the application of diagnostic technology in engineering inspection and maintenance, and edge computing and short-time Fourier transform are used to help electronic diagnostic technology improve the efficiency of signal recognition. At the same time, the traditional diagnosis technology is compared with the mechatronics diagnosis technology based on edge computing in this paper. The results show that the mechatronics diagnosis technology based on edge computing is significantly better than the traditional diagnosis technology in cost reduction ability, and the mechatronics diagnosis technology based on edge computing is 112.5% higher than the traditional diagnosis technology.
