Abstract: We propose a dynamic variation of parameters algorithm to enhance the performance of the LoRa Network in an effort to address the throughput and Bit Error Rate (BER) concerns of the current LoRa systems. We are proposing modifications to the physical layer parameters of LoRaWAN technologies, such as the Spreading Factor (SF), Channel Bandwidth (BW) and Coding Rate (CR). In this method, we examined the theoretical expressions for throughput BER and ran simulations in MATLAB. The results not only confirmed the correctness of the theoretical expressions for throughput and BER, but also demonstrated that the proposed scheme can significantly boost transmission throughput when compared to the current LoRa systems. Also Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) based LoRa architectures outperform others, according to comparison plots of BER data. The suggested variation of parameters is a viable substitute for several IoT applications. Our article aims to increase throughput and BER of LoRa technology by examining LoRa performances with different physical layer parameter selections. These physical layer parameters and their behaviour motivated us to develop a dynamic variation of parameter algorithm, in which performance is improved by making changes in physical layer parameters.
