Abstract: This study examines whether IWB can be influenced through the empowerment of teachers. The sample in the study comprised 376 teachers currently teaching at eight primary and four secondary public schools in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, and they were chosen based on a stratified random sampling method. For data collection, a survey was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire developed based on previous research. Structural equation modelling was conducted using SPSS AMOS version 24. The results indicated that teachers' IWB is influenced by teacher empowerment pertaining to four dimensions, namely self-efficacy, impact, professional growth and decision-making. Findings from the study may enrich the literature by providing insights into the important role of teacher empowerment as the determinant of teachers' innovative behaviour. From the practical aspect, what the current study found may become clear guidelines to school leaders for exercising empowerment to foster IWB among teachers.
