Abstract: Usage of artificial intelligence (AI) in improved performance for customer acceptability of electric vehicles is a new concept that has emerged in recent times. The present research is on finding the role played by AI in finding new low-cost battery materials with improved chemistries, batteries with better energy storage capabilities, real-time driving range with optimised use of energy, location identification of charging stations, usage in EV manufacturing, management of charging stations and in EV charging cost reduction through V2G technology. The above-mentioned AI usage is reviewed in Indian context in the present work.

Keywords: artificial intelligence; electric vehicle; performance; batteries; customer acceptability.
