Abstract: Due to the high mobility in the mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), conventional routing protocols such as ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) face numerous disruptions during routing and data transmission. In this paper, a new model has been proposed by examining the behaviour of modified AODV protocols that have been proposed so far to address broken links during the routing process. A new protocol has been proposed that improves the performance of the AODV protocol. In the proposed protocol the broken links that are located on the main paths are predicted and it has been tried to prevent disruption in data transmission by repairing paths. The proposed method works by predicting and repairing paths when links break, also reserves alternative paths before broken links. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed protocol have performed better than the AODV. The rate of improvement in evaluation criteria is 45% on average.
