Abstract: Aiming at the problems of low accuracy and long estimation time in traditional methods for estimating sulphur hexafluoride emissions from power equipment, a new model for estimating sulphur hexafluoride emissions from power equipment is established. First, we monitor online the decomposition products of sulphur hexafluoride in the power equipment by using photoacoustic spectroscopy. Then, we obtain the data on the decomposition products of sulphur hexafluoride and establish a mathematical model of the relationship between the pressure and time of sulphur hexafluoride gas. We then detect the components of the decomposition products of sulphur hexafluoride gas based on the relationship between the pressure and time of sulphur hexafluoride gas, and obtain the main decomposition gas, arc, spark discharge, and partial discharge. Finally, the emission range of sulphur hexafluoride is searched, and an estimation model of sulphur hexafluoride emission is built. The simulation results show that the model has high accuracy and short estimation time for SF6 emissions from power equipment.
