This research work is carried out to understand the concept of transfer of training and its association with organisational commitment. The study employs learning transfer system inventory (LTSI) scale and organisational commitment scale (OCS) to analyse the training and development practices in Indian manufacturing and service industry. For the various scales and subscales employed in the study reliability analysis was performed and analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to measure the extent to which the records meet the proposed model. The outcomes were tabulated and inferences show a good model fit.
