Abstract: Data is the lead behind this growing trend in technology. In the era of competition between firms and at each level of intermediary in the supply chain, big data and predictive analytics have emerged as growing importance for companies. Companies need to capitalise on data source variety for in-depth proper analysis through the use of 'data science, predictive analytics and big data (DPB)'. This study focuses on highlighting usage of predictive analytics in SCM, its impact on supply chain performance as well as underlying perceived profits and obstacles confronted in its employment. Its goal is mainly to evaluate the probability of what will happen in the future because of the present decisions and thus help the companies to analyse the potential customers that will churn in future. This paper studies the impact of predictive analytics on several indicators that leads to improved supply chain performance.
