Abstract: The aim of this study to assess the effect of job characteristics on employee engagement among sales personnel in telecom sectors. The study has evaluated that the effect of reward, working conditions, management support and leadership policy on employee engagement. The study further explores the moderating effect of age. The study has been done with telecom employees working in Andhra Pradesh, India. The study has a sample size of 609 telecom sales employees working in telecom companies such as Vodafone-Idea, Airtel, and Reliance Jio. The analysis of the study was done using SPSS and AMOS software. The result of the study reflects that all study variables have a significant effect on employee engagement. Age moderated the relations between reward and employee engagement and working conditions and employee engagement, whereas it did not moderate between job characteristics and employee engagement and management support and leadership policy and employee engagement.
