Abstract: With an advancement of technology, consumers nowadays have more alternatives over their preferences in banking. Thus, present study examined the factors influencing the adoption of mobile banking in Punjab. A structured questionnaire based survey was performed in the state of Punjab, with a multi-stage stratified random sample of 200 respondents. The data was analysed with descriptive statistics and Logit regression. It was observed that 59% of the respondents were aware of the mobile banking. The factors which influence the adoption of the mobile banking were convenience, risk, reliability and cost effectiveness. The results of Logit regression indicated a relationship between demographic variables and adoption of mobile banking. The study suggested the need to strengthen the security and privacy concerns as it will help to go a long way to expand mobile services among the general masses.
