Abstract: This article examined the perception of Saudi consumers (patients) regarding the privacy of their electronic medical records. The findings of this study showed that Saudis' concerns regarding the privacy of their electronic medical records did not indicate any significant difference regarding the respondents' duration of service with current provider, or their gender. On the other hand, significant differences were found regarding Saudis' concerns about privacy and their education levels, age groups and marital status. The social and cultural habits of Saudis drives them to care a lot about their personal privacy as their social life restricts revealing sensitive issues to strangers, especially when it comes to females and/or family members. They also still have lack of confidence in electronic issues/devices as many social problems surface every now and then in Saudi society that usually have unfortunate consequences. For example, many social problems have surfaced because of Saudis' using social media on their mobiles.
