Abstract: Knowledge is essential for the successful development of any economy. Though only recently, the domain of KM has been identified as an avenue for research and practice. The present paper is aimed at examining various factors affecting knowledge sharing (KS) within public sector organisations as this can be beneficial in creating a knowledge-sharing culture which in turn will facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation within such organisations. The authors have also developed an integrative model, involving the antecedents and consequences of KS from a holistic perspective that will guide the researchers who wish to investigate knowledge management (KM) in public sector organisations.
