Abstract: The author in this study used the GDP indicator for a generalised indicator of goods in Kazakhstan for analysis and compared the demand for research and development abroad, and the demand for their research and development in this country, where researchers in the field of natural resources dominate sciences, then technical, and then medical sciences. The mathematical model of the research trend allowed the author to analyse and forecast the dynamics of an effective indicator in order to develop a model of the dependence of the share of domestic R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP on the volume of domestic costs. The article proposes an approach of convergent technologies to determining the directions of transformation of scientific and innovative development in terms of expanding the involvement of regions in the scientific and innovative process in order to ensure a wider dissemination of scientific results based on their innovation.
