Abstract: This article is devoted to the technology of processing edges on inclined surfaces of long parts with 3M elastic polymer-abrasive brushes. The regularities of the influence of the inclination angle to the processed edge on its size and shape accuracy are established. It was proved that when changing the angle of inclination of the surface, it was necessary to change the angle of the brush relative to the processed edge. Equations were also obtained making it possible to determine the values of the average edge size depending on the brush deformation ΔY, speed V, feed S, and the angle of inclination of the machined surface β. Based on the totality of the studies carried out, technology was proposed making it possible to assign processing modes in which it is possible to obtain edges that meet all the design and technological requirements of the aviation industry in terms of size and shape accuracy both on horizontal sections of parts and on inclined sections with an angle β.
