Abstract: In order to expand the cycle construction technology of tunnel boring machine + narrow-body roof bolter in single lane excavation and cross operation and improve the adaptability of roof bolter to the coal and rock pavement. First, a six-wheel drive narrow roof bolter is designed. Second, ADAMS is used to carry out virtual simulation test on the motion characteristics of roof bolter. Finally, the adaptability of the roof bolter to the underground coal and rock pavement in six-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive conditions is discussed. The research results have shown that in six-wheel, four-wheel and two-wheel drive conditions of the roof bolter, it can run normally on coal and rock road, indicating it can adapt to the complex geological conditions of underground road. The lower the theoretical speed of the roof bolter, the smaller the slip power loss and the higher the driving efficiency.
