Abstract: In order to solve the problem of low calculation accuracy of damage variables in the traditional research methods of structural damage characteristics, a research method of microstructure damage characteristics of asphalt mixture based on multivariate feature extraction is proposed. Firstly, the macro characteristic index of asphalt mixture is extracted to reflect the change law of micro damage. The multiple characteristics include splitting tensile strength, splitting tensile strength ratio, flexural tensile modulus, maximum tensile strain, water saturation, viscoelastic parameters, total energy absorbed by damage fracture and flexural tensile strength. Secondly, the structural damage equation of asphalt mixture is constructed, and the output result of the equation is the damage characteristic result. Finally, the simulation comparison and verification experiments are carried out. The results show that the percentage of microstructure damage by this method is also highly consistent with the actual value, which can reach about 99%.
